In 1931, optician Georges Lissac introduced a new approach to the profession. For him, the optician is a professional who "sells vision" and then developed an innovative concept with his two brothers.
Thierry and Sigrand founded a clothing and drapery manufacturing business in Lille around 1870. In 1911, the company split into two. The Sigrand et Cie department stores were then created and expanded throughout France until 1929.
