Nicolas was founded in 1822. It was the first chain of stores selling bottled wine to take home. In 1922 Nicolas created Nectar, its iconic wine merchant.

Description:
A man in a dressing gown carefully brings up an excellent bottle of wine from the cellar. In a variant (Cf. black and white photo) it is Nectar who brings up the bottle. He can be recognized by his saucer-like eyes, his mustache, his cap and his apron.
