Thermal wadding for treating common respiratory conditions and muscle-related pain.
Description:
A green pierrot, like the illness, wears Thermogene cotton wool on his chest. The heat it emits makes him spit flames so strong that they illuminate the pierrot and cast his shadow on the ground. The healing is immediate. At the bottom of the drawing is written: our national champion on a night of fire!!! August 24, 1915 Cappiello

Remark:
Upon seeing this work, everything leads us to believe it is indeed a Cappiello. The drawing is identical to the lithograph, except for the shadow, which is slightly altered. The background is not flat but very detailed, as Cappiello often does. The colors are indeed those used by Cappiello. However, its dimensions are more those of a sketch than a mock-up. In the case of a sketch, the drawing would not be as well centered and would be less refined.
Therefore, we are not certain that it is a mock-up. We do not know if it is a preparatory document or a copy intended for a future sale, for example.
This comment may be clarified if the sketches and mock-ups that have now disappeared are discovered.
