A chief physician of a regiment writes to the President of La Serviette du Soldat on February 12, 1916: "I have the honor to report that my regiment is in possession of the portable shower unit from the Committee of Showers for the Front, but we have no towels to allow our soldiers to dry themselves. I would therefore be very grateful if you would agree to send me a stock of towels."
