Subject
In 1832, Thomas Naltet and his wife, née Menand, took over a distillery in Chalon-sur-Saône. He had the idea of steeping sloes in aged spirits. It was in 1842 that Prunelle Naltet was born. It was packaged in a stoneware jug from La Dheune. The success was immediate. During the war, this jug was reused as a hot water bottle. Today, the sloe liqueur is still sold in gourmet shops.

Description:
A barrel-shaped man with six arms holds a jug of Prunelle Naltet in each hand. Thanks to the intoxication provided by this liqueur, he is very cheerful and sketches dance steps on his toes. This drawing truly highlights the smoothness of this alcohol.
