Robert de Flers tells us: "People laughed heartily with all kinds of laughter, from the wildest to the most sensible. They laughed as if life did not exist, as if they had never laughed before. Monsieur Sacha Guitry is a kind of benefactor." The Comédie-Royale is a Parisian theater founded in 1901, dedicated to humor and boulevard plays. In 1923, it permanently took the name Comédie-Caumartin.
