Cognac Fine Champagne
1905017Z0
Cognac marketed by the Alexandre Ducros Fils Company.
A maid cheerfully brings a bottle of cognac with two glasses on a tray.
"In this poster, Cappiello did not use the usual colors from his palette. The monochrome of black, gray, and white is only accentuated by the orange splash of the hair. The fluid movement of the maid, hinting at a dance step, is echoed in the lettering, as Cappiello strives to integrate the lettering into the overall movement of the composition. On the mock-up, Cappiello had only drawn the bottle on the tray, with a handwritten note mentioning: 'plus two fine champagne glasses.'
