Subject
The Cachou Lajaunie was created and manufactured in 1880 by the pharmacist of the same name.

Description:
A woman dressed in a refined gown with a black feathered hat, holds a lit cigarette in one hand and a tin of cachou to eliminate bad breath in the other. "When you submitted the design for my poster by Cappiello, I simply expressed my satisfaction; I liked it because it stood out from the ordinary, and I accepted it. Today, I appreciate it even more for the originality of its design and the choice of colors. This poster has contributed to the growing success of my Cachou. Many collectors in France and abroad have ordered a copy from me, which proves to me the favor the poster has gained with the public and connoisseurs." Monsieur Lajaunie to Monsieur Vercasson, June 24, 1903.
