In 1899 the brand Automoto "for cycle and auto parts" was taken over by the Société Anonyme de Construction Mécanique de la Loire AUTOMOTO in Saint Etienne. In 1907 the company was liquidated. In 1908 it restarted and became the Société Anonyme Nouvelle de Construction de la Loire AUTOMOTO. It abandoned the "auto" business.
