Subject
In 1823, Berger produced an absinthe in Neufchâtel, Switzerland. The 1915 prohibition banned its production. In 1923, Berger converted, starting from a factory in Marseille, to producing the first Berger aniseed aperitif. Berger joined the Marie Brizard group in 1995.

Description:
A valet comes out to serve on the terrace. On his tray, a bottle of Berger. The movement of the leg and frock coat gives an impression of speed. This sketch was initially made for Porto Sandeman (see black and white photo).
